America’s Army: Proving Grounds is coming to the PS4

One of my favorite PC games is coming to Playstation this Summer. America's Army is a free first-person shooter that is also a training and recruitment tool for the U.S army.

America's Army 2: Special Forces was one of my favorite games on the PC. It is a very realistic online shooting game (PVP only) with a high level of difficulty. The fun and difficulty was that there was no respawning or radar to help you eliminate your enemies. Every map has it's own objective instead of different game modes with the same maps. Favorite maps were Bridge (where you had to cross a bridge and deliver information to the other site or stop the enemy from crossing) and Hospital (where you had to escort a VIP to a helipad or kill the VIP).

In America's Army: Proving grounds things are a little less hardcore. Now you have a radar and there is a form of respawning. A teammate can revive you after you have been shot but the enemy can prevent this by securing you so that you can not be revived anymore.
Old maps from Americas Army 2 will be also making a comeback (to the delight of the America's Army fans).

This is not the first time a version of America's Army has been released on a console. In 2007 America's Army: True Soldiers was released on the Xbox 360. However this was very disappointing release that looked and felt nothing like its PC counterpart.
However I am really hoping that America's Army will get it right this time and is able to recreate the gaming experience you get with the PC version.
