Do you know... That there 3 ways the draft Pilsner Urquell is poured in a glass?

in #beer6 years ago

Everyone have enjoyed, for sure, a nice cold draft beer. What's better than a nice golden crystal pour in a hot summer day?

Last week I made a post about my all-time favorite lager beer - The Pilsner Urquell. (https://steemit.com/beer/@mdosev/pilsner-urquell-the-pilsner-of-all-pilsners)
And now I want to meet you with the three most famous traditional types of pouring it. Yes... you heard it right! There are three separate ways of pouring this beer and they all bear their different qualities and bring in front unique tastes. This means you can enjoy one beer in three completely different ways: crisp, smooth and sweet.

Before you start pouring, of course you have to make sure the glass is clean and equalized to the temperature of the beer. The foam sticking to the glass means, that the glass was clean before putting beer into it!

The first one: NA DVAKRÁT (Crisp)

The Na dvakrát has the least amount of foam of all the classic Pilsner pours. Giving it a initial look, it reminds you of a classic English ale or American ale. This pouring style let the beer enhance its refreshing carbonation, which makes the flavor bright, clean and also helps keep the beer fresh over a longer time periods. Want to enjoy the beer with a big meal? That's the way!

The second one: HLADINKA(smooth)

When a Tapster pours a Hladinka, the first thing to do is to create a layer of foam and then fill the beer beneath it. This preserves freshness and flavor of the Pilsner Urquell. The result is a perfectly balanced beer that’s neither flat nor over-carbonated. The foam is rich and creamy and should leave rings on the glass as you drink it. Oppositely to the pour "NA DVAKRÁT", the beer has less carbonation and is smoother, making it easier to drink and not making you feel full! This means you can enjoy more beers with friends in the evening.

The third one: MLÍKO

The Mlíko might not be the beer you will order every time, but it’s of course a nice way to change things up, and it’s a pour that’s fun to be familiar with. No one knows exactly who and how invented the Mlíko, but in traditional pubs it was usually served as a kind of dessert, or as an elegant drink that's somewhat different. Sometimes the bartender would give a Mlíko as a parting gift after the bill was paid. (woohoo!)

Of course there are other different types of pour too, but these are the main I think... Some people order a ŠNYT, whit is actually a small beer, served in a big glass under a creamy foam. If you don't want to drink much, this will be the perfect beer for you?

So what type of pour are you up to? Which one would you prefer.
I want them all, but Mliko is something that definitely has a great interest on me, being so different.

Let me know your thoughts!
