Fallacious reasoning may be either illogical or based on incomplete information. For an argument to be convincing, it must be based on logic or correct reasoning. FALLACIOUS REASONING

4  False Cause and Effect: Assuming that one event caused another, simply because one happened first.  Either/Or: The assumption that a problem or situation has only one possible cause or resolution, where they may be several.  Stereotyping: Believing that all members of a group share a certain characteristic.  Name-Calling: Attacking the person who is making the argument, rather than the argument itself.
