I want to make another Altmer and I'm really indecisive when it comes to character creation. I've never been good at creating good looking character as I change my mind all the time. I just wondered if anyone knew how to make a cool looking male Altmer. I think Ondolemar looks alright but I don't know what hair he has and it might be really ugly under that hood haha. Probably prefer a clean shaven Altmer as I usually never use beards, except for my Nord I made for the first time who had a beard (the one after the 5 O'Clock shadow) which was alright. So like I said, does anyone know how to make a good-looking male Altmer who can help me haha?
Thanks.Posts: 3382 Joined: Sat Nov 25, 2006 4:43 am. Trick is to pick the right eyes, and bring their chin up and positioning the mouth and nose relative to the new location of the chin. Everythingelse is about the same as any other race.Thanks. I'll try to do what you said haha. I'm on the character creation right now because I'm sick of spending hours thinking about how I will design my character. Now I just have to spend hours on the character creation menu haha. I might get lucky though and find a good look.I don't mind the actual look of the Altmer but I just want mine to look cool/badass and good looking hahaPosts: 3420 Joined: Mon Nov 20, 2006 4:48 pm.
Minimize the difference between their elven features and their human features. No matter what you do though, they're going to have pronounced chins, and high brow profiles. Best bet is to work around those and take attention away from it. With enough work on the sliders, I'm sure you'll eventually come to find something you like.
I used to hate Male Altmer, but the one I'm playing now is a handsome stud.PS: Female Altmers are one of the best looking female races, after Nord, imho.Posts: 3552 Joined: Mon Aug 27, 2007 10:14 pm. I don't mind that they don't look very human.
I just want him to look good as a High Elf (if that's possible).By the way, what weight should I use for my Altmer? I was going to go a bit bigger and bulky but I don't know if it will look right. Especially when I'll probably be a pure spell caster without any melee. My altmer is a pure mage type, I put their weight about 1 bar below the middle on the slider. I feel it looks pretty spot on. I didn't want him to be tall as hell and skinny at the same time, then he would just look like a stick!Posts: 3477 Joined: Fri Oct 13, 2006 8:47 pm. I can't decide haha, I am trying preset 2. Even just picking a nose is hard, I was thinking the 3rd nose on the right side coming to the left. Looks something like this:L. I'm making an Altmer right now haha.I chose the second preset with that grey hair.
I first made his complexion the lightest (golden). His weight is 1 below (towards the left) of the middle. His nose is the third from the right. I left the eyes at default because I'm having trouble with the shape. For eye colour I'm leaning towards the red ones but I haven't decided if they suit him, because there is also the green or yellow ones. For hair I'm using the medium one (between the ponytail and braid) but I also couldn't decide if I liked the even longer hair.
For hair colour I used the light golden blonde/brown colour (3rd from left). I haven't chosen to use facial hair.I haven't fiddled with the sizes yet as I'm so indecisive. My character also looks as if he has facial hair growing and isn't completely clean.EDIT: I also looked changed my six to the female to see what it looked like and I thought she was really good looking haha.EDIT2: I am just about done. I chose the longer hair with the light golden blonde/brown and reddish eyes.
I used the default shape eyes of the second preset. I'm now only stuck on two things. I cannot decide if I want the default mouth (first one on right side) which makes him look angry/annoyed or possibly just looks as if he's concentrating or thinking or if I want to have a smile or smirk. The other problem is to do with his chin. I think it looks alright default but I can also make it squarer and wider to make it match the jaw line that faces the ears which gives it a more humanoid look. I cannot decide if I like him to look more Altmer with the unique long and narrow chin or more human with a square and wide chin.Posts: 3416 Joined: Sun Nov 11, 2007 1:52 am.
Better Looking Males Skyrim
Female Altmer can be SO pretty! But male Altmer are a little harder to get looking good. As far I can tell, they always have kind of a five o-clock shadow when creating them in the CC, but once you get your character out into the world it's not noticeable any more.
My favorite eyes are the second to the last ones (the last being to the right), but they are a different shape than Ondolemar's, so you may prefer another shape. I also like to raise their eyebrows a bit higher than they tend to start out on the character models. It gives them less of a shelf brow. I also like to push the brow all the way back instead of forward which also helps so the brow doesn't stick out really far.
With the jaw, chin, and cheek area, I personally prefer these to look less human than most posters on here. Personally, I think the more broad and human-like you make the jaw and chin area the worse it looks on an Altmer, but a lot of people disagree so try out different jaw and chin lengths and broadnesses.
I also like their cheekbones to be fairly high, but not too broad. Also I like the to make the jaw line high instead of low on the elves to make them have a really elven looking face. These are just some suggestions of the things that I like to do. Basically I think the most important parts to play with are the jaw and chin area and the brow area since those are the places that give the elves their distinct look and you may want to make them more human or elven looking depending on what you prefer.Posts: 3382 Joined: Mon Sep 18, 2006 4:07 pm.
I just stuck with the first preset and changed a few things. I couldn't be bothered being picky haha.Good for you! I'm almost done. I decided to leave the chin and jaw as it is, since I want him to be an Altmer not a human. I'm just being a little picky on the eyebrows now, I left them as the default ones (first left) but I can't decide whether to raise them higher or not. I kind of like the eyebrows to be slightly raised (slider under the 'B' in Brow) but I cannot decide if I want them any higher haha.Posts: 3391 Joined: Thu Aug 16, 2007 11:19 am.
It seems silly, but how can you make an attractive male character in Skyrim? I want to make a male human character as my main quest Dragonborn (preferably Nord or Imperial due to the Stormcloak/Imperial Legion conflict) but it's difficult because the options are just so ugly (for males at least, the women got lucky in this game). The Nord males look old even with the complexion slider all the way to the left and the Imperial males are just a mess. Before anyone says mods, I'm a console player (Xbox 360).I'd like to make an attractive character similar to Marcurio (in terms of looks).
If anyone has any good sliders for decently attractive male Nord or Imperial characters (Redguards & Bretons okay too), please help me out.:-).

I always get asked how to make my male OC’s because they are so damned good looking well, now that I have a new computer, I’ve been branching out to test if there is another male face texture that would make them even more handsome. Here is a comparison (from best to worst) of all the face texture mods I tried:TL:DR; The best male face texture mod IMHO is Better Males by Bella – Younger Faces Mixed with Geonox. All the following photos are taken in the same location/lighting using a modified version of the Poupouri Morning Star ENB (less saturated, more sub-surface scattering). All the face settings for the character are exactly the same in each photo.Vanilla Male face texture rating: 1/10Damn, what is it about the vanilla male face texture that makes your character look 500 years old?! Seriously, he looks like a zombie or a guy who hasn’t slept in decades.
I think the vanilla texture is just too weathered for my liking.rating: 10/10This mod is my absolute favorite for male face textures. There are 3 different flavors – Younger Faces, Geonox, and a mix between the two. My personal preference is for the mixed version – I think it does a good job making your character appear fresh faced but not smooth as a baby.
The Younger Faces version is just way too flawless and porcelain-like for me. The Geonox version is better but I don’t love the eye bags it gives my character.rating: 6/10This mod comes in 2 flavors, rugged and smooth. I prefer the rugged one over the smooth one – it looks much more realistic.
The smooth version is too flawless, making your character look like a plastic Ken doll. That being said, neither of these settings achieves the look that I like.rating 5/10This is like a super HD version of the vanilla skin, so if you like how weathered the vanilla texture is, you’ll like this mod. For me, it’s just too haggard looking, but the textures themselves are nicely done. If you’re building an older character, this might work well for you.rating: 4/10There are two versions of this mod, A and B, but both look almost identical IMO. Both give your character a super young baby face.
With my ENB, there is a reflective sheen and the texture looks too plastic-y (but it may not be the same if you’re not using an ENB). For some reason, it also makes it look like your character is wearing guyliner so unless you want an emo OC, I wouldn’t recommend it.Hope you find these comparisons helpful – don’t forget to check out my here.Which one is your favorite face texture?
