Originally from Andean countries, the fruit measures approximately 4 to 8 cm in diameter, and grows between 1200 and 2100 m.a.s.l. in temperature climate (17 – 20 C.) preferably in damp and fertile soils with good drainage.

The fruit is used in juices, concentrated food, desserts, jams, ice cream, among others, due to its pleasant bittersweet taste. It is an important source of phosphorus and vitamin A.

Description:
Lulo is a semi-wild plant that grows in artificial ecosystems, especially in cool and shaded places with good humidity (undergrowth areas in lower parts of the primary forest), under these conditions, the plant is opulent, very green and vigorous.
