Musah implores Milan to show ‘personality’ and to be ‘more attentive’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah believes that the team need to take that chances that they create, as well as be ‘more attentive’ on the defensive end.

It was a tough evening for Milan against Paris Saint-Germain as they were unable to get anything going at either end, with Kylian Mbappe, Randal Kolo Muani and Kang-In Lee each scoring in a 3-0 loss for the Rossoneri.

Milan were once again let down by their finishing in the attacking phase while defensively they conceded a goal to Mbappe and then proceeded to allow repeated counter-attacking situations which played right into the Parisians’ hands.

Musah was interviewed by Milan TV and he gave his immediate reaction to the performance, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“Speaking to Christian [Pulisic] he is disappointed, he feels a bit bad about the missed chance. The good thing is that we are getting to these positions to score goals, but we are missing scoring,” he said.

What is missing?

“Being more attentive, like the second goal, and we’re still in the match.”

How do the team move forward?

“Continue playing with personality, be even more attentive. Now we need the points.”

Milan are bottom of the group with no wins in their three games and no goals scored, making qualification for the last 16 difficult.

  1. I still don’t get why Pulisic didn’t shoot when he have a lot more free space but decided to pass the ball to Giroud who was surrounded by PSG players. If Pulisic made it 1-1, the course would be much different.

    1. Probably not. Their attackers were way too much for our defense. But you’re right, we need to take our chances, we still haven’t scored a single goal in this season’s CL, even though we’ve had big chances.

    2. Even a pass would have been OK after taking one gentle touch before. Taking that one touch would have given him time to see Gigio’s reaction and see where Giroud is and give a better pass. After that one touch he would have had a MASSIVE chance to score – or put that goal on a silverplate for Giroud as the defenders were so far away that he would have had the time for that one extra touch.

Also… The 5 against 2 attack Milan wasted was atrocious! How can you finish that attack without even getting a shot on goal? Insanely poor execution. But that attack just sums ups Milan attacking plays nicely. No team play and no one knows what to do.

  2. We don’t really have a personality because our coach doesn’t have a strong personality or philosophy. He’s not cut out to coach a big club. His level is Fiorentina.

  3. “Being more attentive, like the second goal, and we’re still in the match” 😂😂😂
Brooooo, YOU need to be more attentive 💀💀💀💀 dude let ppl behind him like the dog-fire meme….”this is fine”

  4. We are too predictable up front and in dire need to invest in a striker… Giroud is extremely limited and should only be playing 30mins max. Krunic shouldn’t even be in the B team squad never mind first team.
