Moss phlox are bewitching spreaders, forming carpets of low-growing, needle-shaped evergreen leaves with short-stemmed flowers that bloom in spring. This species thrives in average to poor soils in full sun, often seen cascading from retaining walls. 'Snowflake' is a white-flowering cultivar.
