Kiefer Sutherland ‘seriously injured’ after fall on tour bus

Kiefer Sutherland has cancelled the final leg of his European tour following a bad fall that left him “seriously injured.”

“Sadly I slipped on the steps of the bus whilst in Denmark and seriously injured a rib, making it difficult to breathe and impossible to sing,” the 52-year-old shared on Instagram Thursday, adding that the last three shows of the tour were cancelled but that he had “every intension [sic]” of making them up in September and October.

“I am so sorry for any inconvenience that I have caused to the fans who have bought tickets,” he added. “I will do everything I can to make it up to you.”

Sutherland shared on Twitter that the postponed dates were for shows in Grenå, Denmark, Gothenburg, Sweden, and Esbjerg, Denmark.

Fans seemed to have responded positively, with one commenting, “Accidents happen unfortunately, just take care if yourself first. You’re health is what’s the most important thing.”

Sutherland is also known as an actor for his lead roles on “24” and Netflix’s “Designated Survivor.” He released his second album, “Reckless & Me,” in April.
