Robert W. Lemek, 56, of Chepachet, died December 16, 2017 at Trinity Health Rehabilitation Center, Woonsocket. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of Laura (Woodman) Lemek-Strogny of Chepachet and the late Matthew Lemek.

Robert loved being with people. He was an avid golfer, motorcycle rider, expert carpenter and Dead Head.

Besides his mother, Laura, he is survived by one son, Joshua Lemek of Woonsocket, RI; two daughters, Ashley Lemek of Blackstone MA; Taylor Lemek of Woonsocket; one granddaughter, Kaia Lemek ; four step-children with ten grandchildren; three brothers, Richard Lemek of Putnam CT; Michael Lemek of Richmond; David Lemek of Burrillville and one sister, Viola Robidoux of South Kingston. He was preceded in death by his father Matthew Lemek and his brother Steven Lemek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday December 21, 2017 at 11 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church Street, Slatersville. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 7 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Our Lady of Good Help Food Bank located, 1063 Victory Highway, Mapleville, RI 02839.
