Also known as duck potato or Wapato, arrowheads produce edible tubers. Grow arrowhead in water gardens, pond edges, or decorative containers with 3 to 6 inches of standing water.

The showy white flowers are often hidden in the large arrow-shaped foliage. The edible tubers are a food source for ducks and will float to the water surface once dislodged from the muck. The "potatoes" will form new plants if given the chance; arrowhead spreads vigorously.

Uses: edible, pond/wetland restoration, container gardening
Bloom time: June - September

Height: 18 to 30 inches
Space: 2 to 5 feet
