My mother gave me the name of Joyce Irene. I weighed five pounds. She was confined to bedrest for the latter part of her pregnancy. I don’t know why. There was a sister that was stillborn before me. My mother had no problems with future pregnancies. I can only surmise that my parents rejoiced over my healthy birth.
