Simply amazing
It's hard to describe, just try it.
Rather pricey though. If you want to save - do 5 course menu vs 10.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Adrianne M.Tampa, FL98049Dec 16, 2023First to Review
Stoped by Ko for their kaiseki offering, which is their 10 course meal.
We sat at the very end booth, which was our only sticking point as we didn't get a view of the chef at action. Recommend requesting for a mid-restaurant booth.
We also did the uni upgrade -- the chef comes table side and makes you a temaki. It was delicious & so worth it!
The gohan (rice) course was my husband's favorite. You'd think the wagyu is the star & it is! But the fish broth that was perfumed with yuzu was just amazing.
Everything we had was delicious! standouts for us were:
- Kumamoto oyster dressed with notes of watermelon
- Maitaki tempura with gourmet salts
- chilled lobster course
- tataki & caviar starter
Overall, a very welcome addition to the Tampa dining scene.
Our server Ian was fantastic as well. Kept a great pace to the night, was knowledgeable of the sake offerings, and very attentive.
It's a seasonal menu rotating every 3 months -- can't wait to come by for the spring menu!
In the meantime, we will be back to dine at the sister concept Kosen for some omakase
gochisousama!
Update: my husband says his favorite dish was actually the salmon cooked table side with, what I believe was fennel sauce? With ikura mixed into it. Was really tasty!
I forgot to grab the menu on the way out (they offer it as a memento since the menu rotates), wish I had...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bri M.Las Vegas, NV11115Apr 22, 2024
10/10! We came here for our anniversary and it was such an amazing experience. The food, drink pairings, ambiance, and service were excellent. Our server Jeremiah really went the extra mile and we felt like he wanted it to be the best experience possible for us. The ambiance is beautiful and relaxing. We sat in a booth facing the kitchen. We were served 10 delicious and unique courses with pairings that complemented each item perfectly. The wine and sake pairings were high quality and chosen for a reason. Some of my favorite dishes are in the photos - the live Hokkaido scallop, the Hassun, and the Wagyu! They definitely deserve their Michelin star. This was truly a night to remember and we will be back! Big thank you to the team at Ko!!

WOW, 10/10. Came here for Valentine's day and they already had a set menu. started with complimentary champagne. From start to finish, the dining experience was amazing. From the service and food, it was unreal. It is on the pricier side but overall great experience and highly recommend it.
