Adv. Eytan Liraz

Mr. Liraz has been involved for many years in a long line of complex, high-profile cases, some of which have had across-the-board impact on the economy. He is also responsible for several Supreme Court precedents.

Mr. Liraz’s clients include a long list of some of the largest commercial groups in Israel, prominent businessmen, and many multinational companies, represented in countless large-scale cases. Among others, the firm has represented Urbanix (controlled by Shikun & Binui, Solel Boneh, Egged, and Chinese corporations) in 30-billion shekel worth proceedings before the Supreme Court regarding the “Green Line” and “Purple Line” light rail tenders; Spot Option Ltd. in proceedings vis-à-vis the SEC to reverse a U.S. $237 million judgment; state-owned company Mekorot in proceedings for 500 million shekels’ worth of water charges for the Dead Sea works; Arabov Group in a $900 million international arbitration concerning a diamond “site” of the diamond conglomerate “De Beers”; and automobile conglomerate “Porsche” in a series of class actions.

Mr. Liraz has also represented, among others, many public figures, in proceedings that have had across-the-board impact on the Israeli economy. These cases include the representation of the Minister of Defense before the Winograd Commission, which reviewed the alleged failures of the Second Lebanon War; MK Eitan Cabel and his parliamentary party in a series of proceedings concerning constitutional issues regarding the elections for the Federation of Labor (the Histadrut) – some of which resulted in precedential rulings by the Supreme Court; the Israeli Labor Party (HaAvoda) and the Minister of the Economy in proceedings concerning control of party assets; the City Council and Mayor of Yeruham, in proceedings conducted at the Supreme Court (sitting as the High Court of Justice) regarding the redrawing of the town’s borders vis-à-vis Camp Ariel Sharon (arhan HaBahadim) and a long list of communities and regional councils; and more.

Mr. Liraz has many years of international experience, including several years of work as an attorney in Geneva, Switzerland and in Wall Street, New York, mainly in the context of international arbitrations. In 2015-2018, Mr. Liraz also served as an Alternate Member of the International Court of Arbitration – the ICC in Paris, the world’s leading arbitration institution – and the firm represents a large number of multinational corporations operating in the Israeli market including, among others, Swiss pharmaceutical conglomerate “Roche”, German car manufacturer “Porsche”, Russian railway corporation “TMH”, French banking corporation “Rothschild”, pharmaceutical conglomerate “Merck Serono”, the world’s largest, Netherlands-based toy manufacturer “Mattel”, and many others.

Before joining Eytan Liraz & Co., Mr. Yulzari worked for one of Israel’s top law firms.

Mr. Yulzari is involved in complex and large cases, and specializes in a wide range of issues in civil-commercial law. His areas of expertise include contracts, corporate law, real estate, employment law, insurance law, defamation claims, franchise law, derivative and class actions and high-complexity financial disputes.

Mr. Yulzari has extensive experience in representing clients in all courts, including the Supreme Court of Israel.

With some two decades of experience in complex litigation, Mr. Yulzari provides his clients with invaluable professional representation, and assists them in achieving impressive results, even in the most complex of cases.

A partner in our litigation and dispute resolution department, Prof. Rotem was admitted to the Israel Bar in 2000.

Prof. Rotem is involved in complex and large-scale cases, and specializes in a wide range of issues in civil-commercial law. He is an expert on private international law, corporate law, and company dissolution and rehabilitation law.

Prof. Rotem has previously served as legal assistant to the Honorable Judge Dalia Dorner at the Supreme Court (2000-2002), after interning for Justice Dorner (1999-2000). He later served as special advisor to the National Commission of Inquiry on Aid to Holocaust Survivors (2008) and to the National Commission of Inquiry on the Authorities’ Treatment of the Gush Katif and Northern Samaria Evacuees (2009-2010).

Mr. Rotem is an associate professor at the College of Law and Business in Ramat Gan (2005-present; Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law (2012-2015); Dean of the Faculty of Law (2015-2018), and teaches at Haifa University and Reichman University.
