The absolute worst movie I've ever seen in my entire life, and a film that represents the acme of Neckbeard Cinema. It's not the worst film I've ever seen because it looks like it was edited to look like a Powerpoint presentation from '97, or because its attempts at humor were all groaners, or because the entire film is so damn cheap.
It's the worst film I've ever seen because ultra-libertarian dorks swallow all the shit he says up like it's gospel. It's the worst film because its aim -- it's not trying to convey the importance of moderation, or tell you, "hey, look out - you can be healthy and still eat these foods, you just have to put…
"uhhhh super size me is actually just one-sided propaganda and doesn't correctly show the other size of the argument" - guy who made a movie about his own one-sided propaganda that shows the other size of the argument showcased in super size me

I don't know how you're able to make a documentary trying to expose all of the effortless bullshit that everyone knows about Super Size Me that isn't only worse, but makes up far more lies and is far more one-sided in the process. Carlos Saldanha did it. He literally had the easiest job in the world yet he screwed it all up and did exactly what he was criticizing Morgan Spurlock for. The difference is this no-name hack of a comedian has no talent, isn't funny, doesn't know how to make an entertaining and well-made film with a style to it, and has zero charisma.
The crap he makes up in his living under a rock alt-right fans like…
Of course redditboxd hates this movie.
"You mean I have to exercise to lose weight? I can't just blame it on someone else? SHUT IT DOWN!"
I love how the movie starts to contradict itself during the second half
I'd say it's as credible as the the Super Size Me one
combative and eye rolling but loved the smug stand up nerd boomer making an ms paint slideshow because he hated super size me so much. a protoketo piece of propoganda. pretty fun, got boring and redundant. 0 budget warpath soul.
the whole “libertarian blahblah” thing people are saying on here is technically correct but im not sure the demographic on lb remember that the discourse and focal issues were once a divide of big gov vs small gov rather then the chaos and olive branching mudslinging mayhem of the now. this guy is a classic small gov guy and is thus incredibly myopic in his arguments regarding class obstacles, but believes strongly in individual autonomy. i think his world view…
One of the cheapest-looking and oddest documentaries in recent memory. It sets out to debunk Morgan Spurlock's 2004 hit Super Size Me on basically all fronts, which ultimately comes down to the idea that you can in fact eat a great deal of fast food and still maintain a healthy weight. There's a lot of comedy in the documentary, but it isn't of the highest calibre. There's also a lot of science-based edutainment sections which lean much more on the informative side than entertainment, but the film as a whole really isn't that engaging; in fact, it outright drags in places. Far from essential.
Somebody saw that "For every animal you don't eat I'll eat ten!" picture and decided to make a movie around it.
Never mind that the experts consulted for this film are proven quacks and libertarian propagandists, that the lipid hypothesis is still backed as recently as 2019, that the science is obviously manipulated to fit an agenda and that it ignores crucial historic and socioeconomic factors for the love of the free market. This film didn’t even get the criticisms of Super Size Me right.
This guy is now an antivaxxer who calls Biden a fascist on Twitter. Go figure.
