Dear LACBA Members,

The LACBA Delegation to the Conference of California Bar Associations (CCBA) is seeking new delegates!  Our Delegation is one of LACBA's twelve standing committees, with a long history of participation in CCBA's annual conferences.

As the successor entity of the State Bar’s Conference of Delegates, the Conference of California Bar Associations (CCBA) is attended by attorneys from every practice area representing bar associations across California. For three days, delegates meet, debate, and vote on resolutions authored by their peers and reviewed by the Resolutions Committee. Resolutions that pass the Conference are eligible for inclusion in the following year’s legislative program. Since 2010, CCBA has been a driving force in the Legislature, serving as the source for over a hundred bills that have been signed into law, more than any other organization.

Delegates seek, debate, and promote creative, nonpartisan legislative solutions to law-related issues for the benefit of all Californians.  The Conference will take place in September 2024.

Do you have an idea for a resolution to improve the law? Do you enjoy lively debates about matters affecting the public or the legal profession? Then, please join LACBA's Delegation to CCBA.  LACBA Resolutions are due January 1, 2024.  For more information about our Delegation's work, read the LACBA Matters article in the November issue of Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine.
