MEDFORD, Ore. - An air stagnation advisory is in effect for south central Oregon until Friday at 3 p.m.

"What exactly does this mean?"

Because the weather and winds are calm, there is less mixing in the atmosphere. This poses concern for air quality and more particulates could build up especially in the valleys of Klamath, Jackson, and Josephine counties.

According to the National Weather Service, diminished air quality could negatively affect health, especially for sensitive groups.
