Slump
During the mass movement slump, a mass of rock and soil suddenly slips down a hill or slope. The material in slump moves down the hill in a large mass, unlike landslides. If one were watching this mass movement happen, they might describe it as looking like someone pulled the bottom out from under part of the slope. Slump looks like a big part of rock and soil, chipping off, and sliding down a hill. A slump often occurs when water soaks the bottom of soil that is rich in clay. The effects of slump can cause different damage, as well as the other types of mass movement, although landslide and mudslides can be more dangerous. Here are a few pictures of slump.
