Message: Take Pleasure In Infirmities

Hello My Friend,

When I woke up this morning I was in severe pain, since being diagnosed with Celiac it has been a challenge to say the least, knowing what supplements to take, the specific times of the day to take them, and not mixing the wrong ones together or there are side affects that you would not believe. On top of that, reading labels, even on shampoo bottles because all it takes is one spec if gluten to cause a reaction. I was angry at God, told Him that I was done talking to Him about this and to please forgive me for what I have done to deserve this. Then Jesus reminded me of something, when a blind man from birth came to Jesus, the disciples asked Him what sin was committed that he was born blind. Jesus said, [John 9:3  Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.]

It occurred to me that I have been having these issues since I was a little girl, all of the tests that I went through, the crazy diets that only made things worse. They had no idea at that time what Celiac was, and never even considered the fact that I was allergic to wheat or gluten. Given the fact that things are manufactured with a lot more genetically modified ingredients and preservatives that really should not be consumed, it is no wonder why we are all suffering with some kind of infirmity. It is not the infirmities that define us, Christ is the one who defines us through the infirmities, [II Corinthians 12:9-10  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  10  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.]

I really had not idea where these chapters were taking me today, then something odd happened, I decided that I needed to rest a bit to see if I could get this headache and stomach pain to subside. As was laying in bed all these weird subconscious dreams popped in my head, and let me tell you, never underestimate the power of a dream, God can speak to us through those as well. Thank God my severe pain did subside, God pointed out to me that much of my problem is that I have been beating myself up over something that He has already forgiven and forgotten. I cannot change the past, I have proven to Him that I have been repentant since it happened, and what I am going through right now, which I have been dealing with all of my life, is the very thing that He is using to work His work through me. Then I started to count my blessings, realizing that things could be much worse, and it did not take long before I was praising Him, just like all of God’s faithful do.

[Psalms 108:1-7,13  A Song or Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.  2  Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.  3  I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.  4  For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.  5  Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;  6  That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.  7  God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. 13  Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.]

[That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand,] [Beloved; Loved; greatly loved; dear to the heart.] Christ’s beloved are greatly loved by Him, they may get themselves into some messes, but He will never leave their side. David knew this, well before Jesus even came here in the flesh through his own bloodline.

[Psalms 110:1-7  A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.  2  The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.  3  Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.  4  The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.  5  The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.  6  He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.  7  He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.]

[Sit thou at my right hand,] This passage came to mind as I was reading this Psalm, [Matthew 22:41-45  While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42  Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.  43  He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,  44  The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?  45  If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?]

Jesus was brought here in the flesh through David’s seed, He was not of David’s seed, even David knew that. Remember, Mary was conceived of the Holy Spirit, she had no physical contact with any more nor Joseph until after she gave birth to Jesus, [Matthew 1:18]. Today, Jesus stands at the right hand of our Father, and He promises that no one, not even Satan, can pluck one of own out of His hand, [John 10:28-30  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.  29  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.  30  I and my Father are one.]

David knew his life was coming to an end, he also knew how blessed he was by God, even though he messed up a lot. He desperately wanted his son to be a Godly king, surrounded by Godly leaders. Therefore, he began appointing people, first in the Temple that he would build, who would help Solomon run a Godly kingdom. David was the only king to do this before he died, [I Chronicles 23:1-6  So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.  2  And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.  3  Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand.  4  Of which, twenty and four thousand were to set forward the work of the house of the LORD; and six thousand were officers and judges:  5  Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith.  6  And David divided them into courses among the sons of Levi, namely, Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.]

[And he gathered together all the princes of Israel,] This was David’s public profession that Solomon would rule after him and that their prosperity relied solely upon ruling the kingdom under God’s authority. David stressed the importance of the Church being a part of the State. You know how the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States says, [Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;]. This means that the government cannot force one religion on the people of our nation, but it does not deny the Church from making sure that the government is ruling under a Godly authority. Remember, religion is not the same thing as living in obedience to God’s Word, religion is the sole cause of not only sending millions of people to hell every year, but the fall of a nation. Everything we do and are blessed with as an individual and nation relies on our faith and obedience to God’s Word, not any man made religion. When one religion goes south and starts changing its rule to go against God’s Word it affects that nation. Why? Because it divides a nation, and any nation that is divided will fall, [Matthew 12:25  And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:]

[and six thousand were officers and judges:] Did you notice that it was the Levite’s who enforced the Law? This of course, changed after they returned to Israel from Babylon. And this is why our justice system is so screwed up today, there are very few Godly judges anymore. The government, religion, and justice system is making a complete mockery out of God’s Word, and He will call each and everyone of them out for the hypocrites that they are, [Matthew 23:12-13  And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.  13  But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.]

When Jesus belongs to us the possibilities are endless, but we are the ones who limit Him by fear, lack of faith, the inability to forgive ourselves, which is actually a sin. We cannot blame God for the evil in this world nor the evil that we bring into our own lives if we refuse to accept that God’s Word applies to all of us the same way. We can live our lives as a Godly example, we can let Him guide and direct our paths, we can trust Him with every matter of our lives, and we can praise Him, no matter what we are dealing with. David had to deal with evil from the time he was anointed to be a king, some of it was self inflicted, but God even helped him through that once he turned it all over to Him. No matter what he was going through, he never stopped praising God.

[Psalms 109:1-9,20  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;  2  For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.  3  They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.  4  For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.  5  And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.  6  Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.  7  When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.  8  Let his days be few; and let another take his office.  9  Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. 20  Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.]

[and let Satan stand at his right hand.] You know, while Jesus did die for all, and would love to save all, that does not mean that He does save all. The wicked are the reprobates, and these are the ones that stand at the right had of Satan, they are beyond the hope of salvation. No one wants to die and end up in hell, and those who do not believe or even say they worship the devil do not want to either, otherwise, they would not act the way they do. Satan knows where he is going, and he will do anything to prolong his life while taking as many lost souls with him that he can. Nevertheless, Jesus delivers us from all evil, self inflicted or not, and the thing is, we will know that it was from His hand. Now, as David continues appointing the Levites of their duties once the Temple is built, he takes note that they would no longer carry the Tabernacle.

[I Chronicles 23:24-28  These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward.  25  For David said, The LORD God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever:  26  And also unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof.  27  For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above:  28  Because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God;]

[they shall no more carry the tabernacle,] Since the tabernacle would be replaced with the temple there was no need for Levites to carry them, therefore, David appointed them positions for working in the temple. The Tabernacle and Temple were both utilized by God at one time to make His presence known through the Holy Spirit. Today, it is not a building or a tent that God makes His presence known, it is the believers of every saved, born again Christian. The second we received Jesus Christ as our Saviour we are born with the Holy Spirit into our souls, hence the term, Born Again. That means whenever we go, the Holy Spirit is right there with us, [John 3:5-7  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  6  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  7  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.]

Jesus Christ Magnified: [Psalms 110:1-2  A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.  2  The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.]

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, There is something comforting and quite exciting to know that You belong to me, not by my anything I ever did, but by my faith in what Your did for me on the cross and raising up from the grave. Now, we are one, I belong to You and You belong to me, and nothing and no one can pluck me out of Your hand. Lord, I think about the life I lived before You and although I struggle today, it does not compare to what I struggled with back then, Your grace truly carried me through some very dark times, and that alone keeps me singing praises to You, I never want to spend another day in darkness, and while I may be afflicted, get chastened, or be subjected to the evils of this world, I know You are with me and will help me not only endure, but delver me through my faith and trust in You alone. Lord, Lead me and guide me, fill me with Your mercy, and grace to suffice these infirmities. Work a great work in me, and let me lead as a Godly example of the wonderful and blessed life You have given me. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
