Community Action Committee of Pike County announces car repair program for working residents

The Workforce & Business Development Program (W&B) at the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) is excited to announce a new Car Repair Program for local residents. This program is designed to assist individuals who are enrolled in career training, employed or newly hired needing essential car repairs.

The Car Repair Program is funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and aims to remove transportation barriers for hardworking residents pursuing career advancement.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Enrolled in career training, employed or newly hired.

• Meet income guidelines: at or below 300 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines limit.

• Must complete all Eligibility Packet and provide documentation as required.
 
Program Benefits:

• Up to $2,500 in funding for car repairs (per person)

“We understand that reliable transportation is crucial for employment and career development,” said Lisa Pfeifer, W&B Director. “This program is designed to help individuals overcome transportation barriers and achieve their full potential, and we are so honored to be able to provide this service to so many in our area in need of car repairs for their livelihood.”
