The first Rayman game got some of most beautiful music both in Rayman Franchise, but also in retro gaming in general. In later game, specially in Origins and Legends, music was still one of the main element in Rayman’s game, involving rhythmic style of gameplay.

His music had one of the most important impact on Rayman. I wanted to make a little tribute based on. The character here is the Musician. Member of Rayman’s Species, who only appear in the first Rayman’s game. As He and Gazel shared the same profession, I thought it could be nice to add.

I really like how they handled his new design, it really fit to the latest Rayman Origins and Legends games’ style. Theses little details on his coats and theses sort of floating spheres under his hat are really cool ! Also, from what the update say this time, he’ll challenge other hero with sort of deal with contrat. ( Yes, exactly like Snatcher From A Hat in Time. )
This also means that we have a important nemesis back for Rayman !
No offense, I appreciate the evil Magician, but he’s not really… menacing. We never fought him directly in any game ! Plus, I’m pretty sure that, in universe, he would surely be reduced to Mr Dark’s lackey or something. This is hard to conceiving, principally when you managed to hit the main villain’s statut twice.

This aside, I’m glad he’s back, I hope that he and the Rayman’s franchise will eventually come back in a new game later, even if Michel Ancel’s depart will perhaps slow down things.

Barbara is here, probably to be in raccord with my recent drawing of her recently. She’s the one who sing. Well, she mutters probably some songs, but it still good.

I guess we’re not going any new HUGE Rayman game for a while… I kind of wonder what they’re doing in their meantime. Hope they have a good time and relax before their next adventure.

I think I’m just gonna draw Rayman with a beard for now until his eventual comeback. Sounds good to me.

I wanted to draw one of Rayman’s evil clones, but which one ? There’s so manie, actually. So here’s the *Bad Rayman*, also know as *Rayman Black and White*, who’s the evil one who purchase through an entire level in Rayman Legends. Mimic all your move, waiting you to make the wrong so he could reach you.
But beside that, who is he in his spare time ? He is like a shadow of Rayman, wandering through a world of darkness, waiting his turn until an opportunity to chase the hero again.
He must a lonely guy.

Rayman has a lot of outfits and costumes during his career. It kinda started with Rayman 3 with the power up, also the Rabbids games, and recently games like Rayman Legends. ( I know most of these skin here are considered as separate characters, but I have to admit it’s just sound like pseudonyms that Ray used when wearing those. )

And not only Hippies are kind of recurrent in Rayman, But he also dressed like one in the Rabbids game !
I have to admit, I couldn’t find the original one with a good quality, so I drew it as I remembered, it might be lightly different from the original one.

I’m sure people are absolutely excited for Sora from Kingdom Hearth being finally in Smash Bros Ultimate, and they have all the rights to be, it’s indeed really amazing to see it happens.

… I, for one, isn’t really that hyped, but I’m still pleased.
On the bright side, that’s means I can draw Bearded Rayman more often ! Since Rayman 4 will probably never happens, it allows me to play more with the whole “Rayman’s is a retired Hero” thing.
Oh, and he, Globox and Barbara are still playable in this other fighting game “Brawlalaha”, if you want to take a look. There’s some nice reference in this !

And hey, it did come with the announcement of the Mario Bros Movie sequel, which is nice ! And Paper Mario TTYD will arrive sonner than what I’ve expected, which is nice as well !
