Hello everybody

I'm reading a book named Oxford word skills. This book uses "average height" and "average weight" for describing people who are neither tall nor short, neither fat nor thin. This book is in British English. I want to know if these words are used in American English.
Can we say "medium height" or "medium weight" instead of these words in American English?

Please tell me your opinion.

This picture belongs to the book mentioned above.Like I said, this book is in British English.
    Can we say:
She's average height or average weight
    in American English?

How about "medium height" or "medium weight"?

Note that they do not mean the same thing. The average height of basketball players is taller than medium height, while the average height of jockeys is less than medium height. Mathematically speaking, medium height is a reference to the median, while average height is reference to a mean.
