Stevie Nicks debuts her very own Barbie on stage: 'She absolutely has my heart'

Available for $55, the Barbie is fashioned in the Fleetwood Mac singer's beguiling Rumours dress and boots.

Bust out the tambourine: Mattel has released a Stevie Nicks Barbie doll.

The Fleetwood Mac frontwoman debuted the doll on stage during a show at Madison Square Garden in New York on Sunday night. Available to buy for $55, the doll features Nicks in a beguiling black dress with chiffon statement sleeves inspired by the iconic dress she wears on the album cover for the band's 1977 album Rumours. The spellbinding look is completed by a golden moon necklace, knee-length black boots, and a tambourine with cascading ribbons.

"When Mattel came to me asking if I would like to have a Barbie made in the Rumours cover style I was very overwhelmed," Nicks said in a statement. "Of course I questioned, 'Would she look like me? Would she have my spirit? Would she have my heart?' When I look at her, I see my 27-year-old self. All the memories of walking out on a big stage in that black outfit and those gorgeous boots come rushing back, and then I see myself now in her face. What we have been through since 1975 — the battles we have fought, the lessons we have learned together. I am her and she is me. She absolutely has my heart."

Nicks' doll is part of Mattel's Music Series Barbies, joining the ranks of Gloria Estefan, David Bowie, Elvis Presley, Elton John, and Tina Turner, who have all been honored with their own Barbies.

Nicks recently told TODAY that Mattel first approached her in March for the Barbie, sharing that she sent her Rumours ensemble to the toy company to replicate. When she received the first prototype, she could not believe they managed to nail the look, down to her suede boots. "I was like, 'Oh, my God, these are real,'" she recalled. "She's the Rumours me, when I was 29 years old. But she's also me now. It sounds impossible, but it's not impossible somehow."

"Maybe that's just the spirit of her — the spirit of Stevie Barbie and the spirit of me, blended together in this little person and it just emanates from her," she added. "She's the memory and she's the present — and everything in between."
