The Album

Titled Sweet As Honey, the album is a collection of 9 original songs inspired by precious connection to earth and community.

This is a solo album in name, but is in fact an extraordinary collaboration with innumerable voices of support and feedback in the community as well as with a number of guest artists. These dear friends have brought my songs to life by contributing their hearts, and voices and/or instruments. Those people are: Molly, Edith, John, and Ellen Gawler, Ethan Tischler, Alex Wilder, Noah Fishman, Ben Foss, and Baron Collins-Hill. Plus occasional vocal appearances from Sean and Jamie Oshima and Alisa Amador. I have the deepest appreciation for everything each of these extraordinary human beings has brought to this project.

A bit about why

Songwriting has been an integral process for finding and strengthening my own voice, not only as an artist, but as a person. Through this project, I have found that I have a lot to express and give beyond the music I already make with the well-known and loved Gawler Family Band. Every song on this album is inspired by nature, precious connections to land and community, and my personal journey/growth as a human walking on this earth. I can only hope that my music might touch people in a way that brings them closer to themselves, to each other, and to the natural world.

The GoFundMe project

This album would not have been possible without the massive amount of support from donors through a GoFundMe campaign! With 131 donors roughly $6,000 was raised to support the album. It far exceeded my wildest expiations and I am deeply grateful for each of those who helped bring this album to life. Even though the campaign is closed now, you can view the here:
