There is a tendency to believe, probably emanating from an all consuming pharmaceutical industry, that there must be a pill for every ill. My experience informs me that health issues associated with human exposure to aluminium are no different. While, through my research, my book and now my muses posted here on substack, I have tried to push alternative remedies to pills for living safely in the aluminium age (e.g. silicon-rich mineral waters) I have been asked and even questioned over and over again why there isn’t a simple, meaning convenient, solution. Why is there no pill for silicic acid. Recently in the comments on a substack post I promised to address this issue. To this end I am going to share with you a presentation I have made to a number of individuals and funding organisations addressing their desires to develop and manufacture a pill for silicic acid.
Let’s start at the very beginning…….
Seems simple enough.
However, don’t be fooled by the silicon supplements market.
I am not saying that they offer no health benefits. I am simply saying that they cannot help to facilitate the removal of systemic aluminium from the human body.
Only silicic acid has been shown in peer reviewed, published, clinical trials to be effective in promoting the excretion of aluminium from the human body.
Silicic acid is the ultimate natural product and God’s (or other maker of your choice) own answer to keeping aluminium out of living things.
However, one of the great mysteries of science is how plants and diatoms harvest silicic acid from dilute solutions and create silica structures of immense beauty and sophistication. Cathedrals of silica!
I have spent decades of research trying to understand this ‘simple’ chemistry.
Shortly before my untimely demise as a working scientist I came across, purely by accident of course, the solution to this question.
Just perhaps I now understood how plants and diatoms were able to craft silicic acid to make stand-alone silica structures of immense beauty. How then to apply this new found knowledge?
I asked myself the question.
I offered my thinking to many whom wished to make a pill for silicic acid with the proviso that the first step had to be world class research and that this would be expensive. Not only that but the research might provide the alternative answer, you cannot make a pill for silicic acid.
To my knowledge, no one took up this challenge. So, I am offering this to you, free of charge, my gift to the New Year.
A pill for silicic acid, now there’s a thought!
"Silicic acid is a product of the dissolution of rocks." "Plants and diatoms catalyse the conversion of silicic acid to amorphous biogenic silica." Wow... I love the chart showing the silicon cycle -- explains it so simply. Wish I had taken chemistry in high school, but I'm 75 now, it's not too late, but so much to do and learn I haven't enough time to fit it all in. I bought a lot of Fiji Water, but I have a well and must spend $$$ every year to keep it clean and operating, and the plastic bottles are depressing, but I'm still working on it. Bought your book, viewed several of your video appearances, you have my respect, sir!!!
Thankyou for the explanation. I am still drinking my Acilis water but can’t afford the glass bottles sadly. When I’m asked why I drink it I recommend your book.
It is depressing to think how many brilliant scientists and doctors we have lost over the last few years whose only ‘crime’ was to report their honest findings.
