SAP Business One 10.0 PL02 SLD Errors

funda

Hi all,

I'm trying to install the SAP Business One 10.0 PL02. However, I'm faced with SLD errors.

I have started to SAP B1 Setup Wizard. SLD service have installed successfully. I have controlled to SAP B1 and SQL services.(Microsoft SQL Server version is 2017) All services is running.

I'm getting the following error "Fail to Connect System Landscape Directory(SLD).Contact your system administrator" on SAP Business One Client.

When I log on Control Center, I'm face with "The SLD service is not successfully initialized, please check log for detail.".

I have restarted the SLD service many times. SLD service is running. Then, I have reinstalled SLD service.

I have applied the SAP Note "2352940".

But, the result has not changed.

Fix is download eclipselink installer zip 2.7.7 https://www.eclipse.org/eclipselink/downloads/

Take "jlib\eclipselink.jar" from zip, rename to "eclipselink-2.7.4.jar" and copy/replace it in:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One ServerTools\Common\tomcat\webapps\sld\WEB-INF\lib\eclipselink-2.7.4.jar"

Hi Aurel,

When I log in SAP Business One, I am faced with this error *(SCLC). I have restarted services and reinstalled server tools, but the result has not changed.

I have repaired the SAP Business One Server Tool on Control Panel. Also, 'SCLC' error is solved. Then, I can log into SAP Business One.

Hello,

now Eclipse Link version 2.7.7 is no longer available for download.

So I downloaded version 2.7.8 and 3.0.0.

I tried both but the problem persist...Any idea?

Thanks

Without a log file, it is hard for me to tell.

But seems like your problem is not related to Eclipse Link at all.

You probably don't have the same patch level (PL2) also, you must be on a higher PL by now.

The error within the screenshot is a general error if the SLD backend is not responding with proper data, it happens for example when DB connection fails. So generally it is some environment specific issue.

It is suggested that you create some blank VM and make sure you have a snapshot that you can always revert to. On this new vanilla VM, install clean SLD server with new empty database. You can do this by running setup.exe directly from ServerTools installation located in package_x64 folder.

If you are successful and you are able to log in, revert this VM to previous vanilla snapshot. Add another environment specific assets for example assign this VM to your domain or change the DB server to the one that you get this error with. During such test always use sa admin rights, restrict security slowly one step at a time.

It is trial and error approach, but it is probably faster than analyzing the log files yourself.

In my case there were multiple errors, so it was useful to look in SLD Tomcat logs.

It looks like Operating system is in a different language, look at the capital "i" character, it has some dot on top İ this is not ok. Please, if possible best practice is not to use localized OS for servers.

SELECT İD, ARCHİVED, DESCRİPTİON, ENDTİME, ERRORCODE, EXECUTETYPE, FAİLMODE, LOG, PROGRESSPERCENTAGE, QUEUEID, REMOTE, RESOURCEID, RESOURCETYPE, RESULTDESCRİPTİON, STARTTİME,

Hi Edwin,

Based on my experience, this error message normally is associated with an environment issue. I kindly ask you to follow the steps of the SAP Note 2788059 (How to Perform Clean Reinstall of SAP Business One, version for MSSQL Server Tools) in order to perform a clean reinstall of Server Tools.

My personal tips before installing it again:

- Is the SAP Business One application server able to reach the database server/services? Try to open MSSQL Studio from SAP Business One server and check if everything is OK with the connection;
- Restart the Server Machine;
- Make sure there are no firewalls/antivirus block the Server Tools ports (range 30000-30010, 40000, 1433). The command netstat -anovb can be helpfull to check if other application is using these ports;
- Make sure you are running the Instalation Wizard with administrative privileges (right click in .exe file > run as admin);
- Check SAP Note 2334025 (Security Certificate Errors When Logging On to SAP Business One);

After installing, make sure ALL SAP Business One services (including TAO/NT Naming Services) are running with an administrative account (Start > Services.msc > right click > properties > Log on > check the option "this account" and define a service user)

Hope this can lead you to resolve this inconsistency.

Kind Regards,

Lucca Mello
