| Description |
English: Rosebush quarry, exploring the adits: 6 The mouth of this adit can be seen from the access road that runs below the quarries. It emerges among spoil heaps but stones have been laid to create a solid wall above it; it also has a stone arch at the end of the shaft. It may be the drainage adit serving the deepest pit, "partially cut through the country rock and part [as] a structure, roofed with old tram-rails, through the spoil. A tramway in this adit was used to tip spoil on the western side of the track and railway" via a bridge. |
