DMEK surgery with pre-loaded graft

We have previously featured Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty here on CataractCoach with a video from one of my residents and another from a true expert, Dr James Sanchez. In those videos, the donor tissue must be prepared by the surgeon which can include staining it with trypan blue dye, applying a direction stamp, and trephining the tissue to the desired diameter. There is an easier way: pre-loaded graft tissue that has already been cut to size, stained with trypan blue, and stamped with an orientation mark. We ordered this tissue from the cornea banks associated with PatientReady.org and we learned from the teaching videos of Dr. Peter Veldman on that site.
