There’s a new way to break a sweat in Wyckoff. Perspire Sauna Studio offers a modern sanctuary through elevated, private, customizable infrared sauna sessions. Though the franchise has 43 locations across the country, this is the first location in the northeast.
The 2,025-square-foot space was previously part of the Christian Health Care Center. While building Perspire Sauna Studio, Franchisee Jenny Feliciano decided to repurpose or donate any usable materials. “Our philosophy for healthy living extends to a healthy planet,” she says. “Saving items from the landfill was our goal.”

A Futuristic Space
“It feels like you’re in the future inside the studio,” Jenny says. That’s because Perspire Sauna Studio has teak wood finishes and a polished concrete floor in a clean space. They have eight private sauna rooms, and each can fit two people at a time. All saunas have a TV with premium channels like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Apple TV. They provide complimentary towel service, too.
Perspire Sauna Studio can accommodate 100 sessions a day on weekdays, and 65 sessions a day on weekends. Whether couples choose to sauna together, or individuals come to sauna alone, it’s always a relaxing experience. “While guests improve their wellness during a 40-minute sauna session, they also get a mental break and ‘me’ time.”
As to the benefits, infrared saunas uses light colors including red light to create heat. A traditional sauna heats up the air, while an infrared one heats the body without warming the air. Health benefits include relaxing the mind, improving sleep, detoxing the body, and flushing out impurities. Jenny says guests receive passive cardiovascular exercise. In fact, one 40-minute session is equivalent to a two-mile jog. “On my smart watch, I see my heart rate going up,” she says. “But I am relaxing and watching TV.”
They have a private room available to rent for group events, corporate wellness nights, and adult birthday parties. The studio is also available for rent on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
About the Owner
Jenny grew up in nearby Ramsey and her husband Josh grew up in Brooklyn. They wanted to raise their family in Bergen County, so they moved to Wyckoff over a decade ago. Their home is within walking distance to the studio. “We wanted to open Perspire Sauna Studio in the community we live in and love,” Jenny says.
“We’re passionate about improving people’s lives,” she continues. “And not just some people, but everyone. To make people feel better is rewarding.”
