Since its foundation as a manufacturer of optical instruments in 1917, Nikon has been a synonym for high quality, reliability, and elegance. Through continuing innovation, Nikon has pursued the objective of increasing the pleasures that photography can bring to people. While the F-SLR series have always been the favorites of professional photographers all over the world, the cameras in the D-SLR series have inherited the technology of the F-series, incorporating cutting edge digital technology. The Coolpix digital cameras are favorites among people who take photos for fun, but still expect impressive results.
Nikon applies the technologies developed in over a half century of experience in the field of optics to other products, either consumer products such as binoculars and sunglasses, or business products, such as scanners, microscopes, and measuring instruments.
